Judge much?

Look I try not to judge other people too much.  I mean I'm just kidding I have a running commentary in my head all day about people.  Especially if I'm scrolling through FB.  But yesterday.  Yesterday I got REALLY judgy.

About moms who makes those cutesy lunches for their school kids.  (If you don't know what I'm talking about google easylunchboxes.)

Shudder.  Fruit shaped like hearts.  Hummus?  11 baby carrots?  What kid on the planet eats rolled up tortilla sandwiches PLUS heart shaped cheese PLUS blueberries and strawberries PLUS ELEVEN BABY CARROTS.

If you are trying to make a lunch look like something to post on a blog then you have big problems.  And also--TOO much time on your hands.

And the kids that are getting these lunches?  What do you think happens when they see a friend with a regular ole pb&j with a side of nacho doritos and two oreos?  Well.  I guess it makes me a bad mom but I think this whole easylunchbox trend is RE DICK U LUS.  And yes I know that's not how you spell it.

Maybe my kids are the weird ones.  I mean one daughter eats salami.  Another eats cereal.  But hey we all have bigger things to talk about.

Like how pleased I am that the White House is using my tax dollars and some rainbow lights to show how wonderful God's Promise was to never flood the earth again.

Smile.  Especially in light of all the rain we were getting for a while there....

POC finally!

Just in time for this....

Swimming in a toilet.  Yes.  Swimming in the gulf is apparently this wonderfully safe.  AND I saw this after we spent the morning at the beach.

Lovely.

Moving on.  The trailer is on it's way to being organized.  I am on my way to gaining another ten pounds iffin I don't stop eating and sleeping during the day.  So this morning I walked on my dad's treadmill.  And I am not at this very moment stuffing my face with tiny Mr. Goodbars.  Two pluses right there.

Tomorrow I may be going back home to work on cleaning and organizing that house.  Gah the amount to do is ginormous.

Little md defeated Plants v Zombies and Knack this weekend.  Look we all have our goals.

Little d had a thyroid blood workup and ultrasound related to the swollen glands (which I knew all along was the freaking sore throat) and all turned out fine.

I went to the doc and got a script for a new allergy med and it is working in conjunction with the others so blessed be I am feeling normal again!!

I am watching them play Candyland as I type.  None of them look particularly infected--so perhaps we avoided the toilet water.  Thank you baby Jesus!

Off to find something crafty to do.  Copic markers anyone?

Upty datey

School is FINALLY OUT!

The girls were awarded lots of academic awards and looked beautiful in their dresses and sandals.  :)

I heart summer.  And as soon as my allergies/head cold abates and little d's sore throat-that-she's-already-finished-meds-for goes away I think we will ditch this town for POC.

Well that's not going to happen actually because this weekend D and I have to attend a wedding in Kelp TX.  No that's not the real name but I've never actually heard of the town and it's like three hours away and we have to stay in a hotel on his ONE weekend off in AGES without the kids so I could give a f(lip) about trying to commit the real name to memory.  So I sub something close.

Who has a wedding where all the guests have to travel THAT far, stay in hotels, etc.?  And it's not even like your hometown.  Gah!  I didn't even go to my own cousin's wedding in Austin because of the trip.

I don't even have something to wear.

Blech.

Two good bits of news.  I got a new treadmill (it's not set up but still.) And the copic markers FINALLY came in!!!

Tooth Fairy

This story is too cute.  I really wanted to post to FB but who knows if a kid might see it.  lol

Last night (after a night of the 'tooth fairy' forgetting to pay for a tooth--let's be honest the tooth fairy exhaustedly fell asleep on the couch whilst little d was still trying to fall asleep) little m dutifully placed her tooth on her nightstand/chair.  When I went to tuck her in she laughed and said "Mom are you really the one who comes in here at night and takes the tooth and puts money in my room?"  I laughed back and said sarcastically "yea yes that's me alright!"

We had a little laughing back and forth and finally the TRUTH came out.  She seemed fine with it.  Really.  She did.  Aaaaaand then she didn't.  But she did finally overcome her sadness and go to sleep.

At which time I again forgot to get the money.

Fortunately little md woke up hungry at 4am.  And THEN I remembered.  (And perhaps all to gloriously woke up David to find the correct dollar amount in his wallet.)

I also penned a note saying that I was sorry she was sad about the tooth fairy but of ALL the tooth fairies in the whole world this tooth fairy loved her the most!

She loved the note this morning.  It brought smiles not tears.  Then she hit me with this gem:

"All this time I thought I was bringing in money for our family, but it's just our money..."

I told her not to worry.  I don't expect her to bring money in until she's at least eighteen.  lol
