I don't think I've ever made a round card, so for this one I just incorporated a circle with the CD envelope and left the card square. I thought it worked for the more masculine theme I was going for. D's birthday is next month, and I really wanted to break out that diamond plate embossing folder!

When I first saw this stamp set in the new CTMH catalog I immediately wanted to use it for a Christmas card and to decorate the house with sparkling lights. Next time I want to try lining all the house in the set up and putting lights on all of them. I need to get some glitter glue before I try that though.

I also needed a card for my parents who are celebrating their wedding anniversary on the 13th. They actually got married on Friday the 13th, isn't that cool? They got married in 1971, you do the math on how long they've been married.

While we're on the subject of me being loony. I don't know if it's from living in Texas and hearing Spanish pronunciations alot or what, but every time I see "Mojo" I think in my head Moho. {I hope that's not a bad word in Spanish.} It's just the "j" is pronounced "h" in Spanish right? Like Julio is pronounced Hoo-lio. Okay enough carrying on by me. You all have a great day!
ETA: I found it!! I found it!! It's the Pink Elephant Challenge! I've never played along before so that's why I had trouble finding it again. Ahhh. Good to know I'm not completely bonkers!!

What I am about to confess may get me thrown out of the card making community. I made this card for someone in particular as a pick me up, but...I just love it too much. I don't want to give it away. Now that's not the deep dark confession. Here's the deep dark confession: While I love this person, and think she is the cat's meow, she's not a cardmaker, so...I am afraid she just won't appreciate it enough. I know I am EVIL!
See, here's the deal. I spent the better part of an hour coordinating paper, ink and not one, but TWO polka-dotted ribbons for this card. I stamped, Cuttlebugged, sanded and measured. I enlisted the help of a four year old to tie the bow. I just want someone to open this card and squeal, like any rational cardmaker would do! Not just smile and say oooh bright colors. And move on.
Okay--I hope you all realize that I am speaking in jest, trying to elicit a cheap laugh...or am I???
Mwah haha ha!
