I couldn't wait to get started on this one. Gingham and crackled wood? Love it! In fact I would love to try the faux wood technique with cream ink if I can just remember where I saw that technique... {ETA: Here's Diana Gibb's Faux Wood Technique}
Anyway here's my card.

And I guess Little d could sense my excitement because she really wanted to play along today. We worked together. She used my stack of inks to choose the colors and materials for her card. I love that we can share this hobby!

Now go stop by that blog and check it out!

Very pretty and vintage-y ... and I love the little one's project too! Thanks for playing along with us today at THE SHABBY TEA ROOM. I hope you can join us again next week for a new challenge!
Hey, Merideth! Thanks so much for leaving a comment on my blog. It's so nice to hear from people and know that someone really is looking! I love your card...the soft colors, distressing and checked ribbon. The image is awfully sweet! I had a few minutes to I look through your blog. I really liked the "All that matters deeply" card and thoroughly enjoyed the "Stupid Hannah Montana" post. My youngest is a girl...she's 5. Enough said, huh!
Thanks again for stopping! Keep up the good work!
Your card is so pretty - if you remember where you saw that crackled wood tutorial, let us know. It sounds like it would be fun! Your daughter's contribution is pretty awesome too. Thanks for joining us at TSTR!
Great card! I would've never thought to make this challenge into a baby card - so clever! :) Thanks for playing along at The Shabby Tea Room!
Gorgeous card! I simply adore what you did with the photo and color inspiration. This card is just yum!
Blessings,

very pretty card! I loved the aged look at the sweet vintage carriage stamp. Thanks for playing along with us this week at TSTR!
Beautiful card (and cute little one's card, too)!! These colors and the shabby style work perfectly for a baby card - so very lovely!
Just wanted to stop by again. I was here when you posted your card for the challenge, but I was hastily trying to view several of them and didn't take a second to say hello and tell you how precious your card is! Very nicely done! I see they announced the winners. Beautiful choices! Anyhow, you visited my little blog, and I wanted to say thanks and hello to a fellow scrapping Texan! Congrats on the baby boy - one more month! Our baby (#4) was two months on Saturday. FLIES BY!!
