The weatherman was wrong.

Yesterday, Monday, the first of March was my grandmother's funeral. They called for rain, but instead we had sunshine all day. And the mosquitoes were out (when are they not in POC?) but the brisk cool wind kept them off.

The service was short and the flowers were beautiful.

It was hard. But we also had some really good laughs. I think Poppy will get some closure now and start to heal.

I was exhausted when I got home at 8pm last night. Emotionally and physically. And I walked into the kitchen and was greeted with my husband's smile and my girls excited hugs. And it was good to be home.

Until.

Until I sat my purse near the laundry room and my husband and I noticed...the water. Gallons and gallons of it pouring into the kitchen from the laundry room. The washer had overflown. D said it had been running for about ten minutes. That's alot of water.

I guess the weatherman was accurate. It did flood, just not outside.
