I had this plan to do the non-traditional colors on a Christmas card. Hmmm. Not entirely happy with it. Blech. And yet I'm posting it anyway...aren't you happy about that.
Let me entertain you with something else. Nope, I got nothing. My life is a little mundane right now. Not that I'm complaining, it just doesn't make for any blogging excitement.
Let's see....scrapbooking-wise I'm almost done with my projects for my September workshop. I'll post them when they are all done. I'm also contemplating doing a Christmas card workshop, but I'm not sure how to do it. I want to do four different designs with some embellishments and techniques, but I also want something I can do with newbies. So I need to have a workshop that will be easy for me to explain and float from table to table. Boring stuff I know...
Oh I know something I can tell you. I bought some remnant fabric at Wal-Mart today to give Little d for her birthday. She is so into fashion and cutting paper that I think she will have fun cutting real material (and it was cheapo-bonus!) And while I was there, ahem, I, uh, you know, bought some cute buttons for myself. Ahem.
Politics. Bleeeeecchhh. Seriously I am so tired of it I could scream.
Top Chef! Woo-hoo!! It's back on and I am loving it!! Speaking of fun stuff to watch. D and I are thinking of joining one of those movie club thingys like Netflix. Do any of you have any opinions about which one is the best? We only would probably watch 2-4 movies a month. And we're cheeeap! Ha!
Pregnancy tests. I bought one (pack of three) today. Just in case. You'll be the first to know. Ha, okay no you'll be like the sixth or seventh, but considering how big my family is, that's pretty high up there! Yeah and I'm not one of those people who can wait until the first trimester is over. So I pretty much blurt it to everyone as soon as the test shows up. I didn't learn my lesson from having a miscarriage. I figure the more people that know about it, the more people that can pray everything goes well, right?
Remember my post on faxing John the Baptist? Well I called to set up the date for the baptism and guess what other thing I am required to do? Pay $20. It's a registration fee. For a sacrement. I hope they don't require someone on their death bed to fork over a fee before performing last rites. And since with Little d we gave the priest a gift of $50, I guess this time we can just consider the fee his gift, right? Oh and PS I only paid $26 dollars for Little m's dress.
Okay I guess that's all the randomness I can stuff in one post for a while. Thanks for all your sweet comments on my MIL post. Sorry to hear there are so many of you going though MIL drama as well.
Card details: all CTMH unless noted

I LOVE reading your posts Mere!!!!
The card is great...that looks like the Unforgettable paper..that's inspired.
OK I am praying for you...on the pregnancy test front!!! How exciting...!
Wow, I read your post about the baptism. That's alot of rules! I think we need to focus on God's rules and not so much on 'Church' (man made) rules! My husband is a pator, so our kids have been to church their whole lives, my daughter accepted Christ and was baptised when she was 8, my son hasn't had a perfession of faith yet so he hasn't been baptised. We will just continue to pray that he will see who Christ really is. I pray everything works out for ya'll! And thank you for the sweet comments on my blog about the publications! :)
