I haven't played along with this challenge in a while. And to be honest when I saw the colors I thought...hmmm...nah. But then I remembered my brand new pink gingham ribbon and thought it would look really good with kraft and I have been wanting to do a baby card for a while now.
So this what I came up with:

That crocheted flower is one my mom made for me. I remember her teaching me to crochet, like, seven times before it took. I wanted to learn so bad. {Much the same way Little d begs to scrapbook with me everyday.} I was left-handed and mom was right-handed and while she was a patient teacher I was NOT a patient learner, so I would continually get frustrated and give up. Eventually it took and now I love to crochet. I really love working with big chunky yarns, sometimes using three strands at a time. My mom hates using big yarn but loves crocheting with that teeny cotton thread that I hate to use. So in summary, she makes these for me...

Details:
Paper: juniper B&T from 'Unforgettable' (CTMH), kraft (Paper Reflections-HL)
Ink: juniper (CTMH)
Stamps: Solo W and Solo B (CTMH)
Other: pink gingham (Robert Stanley Collection-HL), button-stash, twine-stash, crocheted flower (my awesome Mom)

Sooo pretty...when I saw those colors I thought baby card too!
Your card is just beautiful.
very pretty card. Could you ask your mom for the recipe for the flowers for me? I have tried and tried to duplicate the ones we sell and they just don't turn out right. I love working with all kinds of yarn. In fact I have 20 or more of those boa looking scarves hanging from my bedpost. Now ask me what I need scarves for in Florida. Grins.
This is beautiful....and I would love the directions, too. Although I can't crochet!! I am trying to learn, if I would ever get off the computer. But I need the computer for the tutorials....sigh. Anyway, your card is perfectly lovely, simple, just the way I like them! Thanks for playing with us!
Oh, this is LOVELY! Pink gingham and crocheted flowers--how could you go wrong, LOL?!! Beautiful in every way! Thanks for playing the Throwdown--hope to see you again next time!
So pretty. The simple ribbon and crocheted flower make for an amazing card. Nice job.
Lovin' this color combo, you rocked it with your simple but lovely card! Just tagged you on my blog! :)
Yay for talented Moms!! I love the simple beauty and elegance of your card!!! Thanks for joining us this week!
Oh! This is absolutely fantastic!!
Beautiful card, precious for a baby girl. I love to crochet too, though my mom only knew the basics so I took a class from a friend. I'll do big projects or small, depending on the mood. And they're all in a bag by the couch which drives DH crazy!!! But I never know what mood I'll be in....
This is just lovely. Thanks so much for playing the CTD!
