Bizarr-oh dreams!

Last night was a doozy. I think my dream lasted for seven hours. Ugh! It started with me in the military with a bunch of people from high school. And then all the sudden (while we were on a trip to an amusement park) I remembered that I would have to serve on a ship in a few months...since I had signed up for the Navy, you know?

I panicked and was asking my friend how I could get out of it. She said 'I don't think you can.' And then while I was panicking over that, I realized that I was living the wrong life because I had signed up for the military. I remembered my real life as it was supposed to be where I was married to D and had kids. And then all of the sudden in the crowds I saw D and I was heartbroken because I knew he wouldn't know me. Then another friend came up and held my hand. I asked him why he was holding my hand and he said 'God told me that you needed me to.'

And then I saw D with two little girls, who were obviously his, laughing and playing and with him. And I was more sad when I realized they were his kids with someone else. Then of course the dream morphed into something else where I was doing a zipline in the snowy mountains to a garage sale. Shhesh. I woke up exhausted and feeling down in the dumps and then I realized 'duh mere it's just a stupid dream.'

I guess the deal with pregnancy dreams isn't so much the plot, but it's how vivid and detailed they are and how well I remember them. Looking over it this one would make a kinda interesting book...I call dibs!

When I was little I used to have this reoccurring nightmare that I had rocks embedded in my skin and if I tried to pick them out they left these craters. Not a gory dream, just weird. And every single time I see a piece of jewelry that has stones embedded I always point it out to Mom and say...'you know what this reminds me of?' And she always says, 'rocks in the skin.'

Yeah we are weird, but I'm okay with that.

Okay so now you want to hear what you really came here for right? The ultrasound went very well today! I am 7 weeks 1 day! Yea! I got to hear the heartbeat...brings a tear every time. I go back in 6 weeks.

I need to post about how fun a transvaginal ultrasound is with the Ultrasound Nazi, but I'll save that for another day...

Ya know...your posts are the highlight of my day!!!
Transvag ultrasounds are SOOO fun LOL...But an ultrasound Nazi is not my idea of a party! My hubby is registered in 3 different ultrasound areas...so this is close to my heart. He did a bazillion ultrasounds of all my kids. Not so healthy to have your every little worry as a pregnant mom indulged by dad huh! BUT he was always committed to his patients and there is NO excuse to treat anyone poorly.
The dream is just wild Mere LOL.
Glad everything is going well!

Yup, that is a weird dream. Not very restful, huh? If you can sleep at all, God bless you. With my third, the Dr. had me drinking a shot of whiskey, trying to relax me enough to sleep. That didn't help, I'm allergic to alcohol. My 8 year old would read me to sleep. No kidding.
Glad everything is progressing nicely.

Yay for hearing the heartbeat!!! It got me every time too. I had one of those 4D done with Landon right at the end and even just tonight I found myself looking at him while he slept and marveling over how much he looks just like he did in that ultrasound.

I slept terribly when I was pregnant and had all kinds of weird and crazy dreams... hopefully you will have less craziness and lots of counting cute and fluffy sheep!

Oh my gosh!! I just laughed out loud... Ultrasound Nazi!! My son is across the hall in his bed and he said, "whats wrong mommy" because I laughed so loud! Actually spit out a little bit of snickers bar! :)

A few days before my son came (2 weeks before his due date) I was getting checked (to see how dilated i was) and I swear the woman had four inch fingernails!! That is just wrong! I believe.. to this day... that she nicked my water! Anyway... that is a longer story than you care to read!

I have vivid and crazy dreams ALL the time!!

So glad everything is going well with the baby!!
