Today Little d turns the big FIVE!!!
I have been worrying about her starting school for two years...now that's in hyperdrive!
She is so absolutely beautiful. She's kind hearted with a fiery temper. She is very protective of her sister and very loving to us all. She loves reading, fashion, makeup, dancing, playing outside and music. Her favorite food is either pancakes or pizza. She loves ice cream and chocolate.
She's creative and imaginative. She makes up stories and does art all the live long day.
I remember the day she was born like it was yesterday...
I slept for thirty minutes the night before I was induced. I woke to shower and go to the hospital at 2am on Labor Day. They started the induction at 4am. Within a couple of hours I was cramping in my back. Dr. S broke my water around noon and I was immediately given an epidural because of the pain. My BP got very low. Then her heart rate got a little high and they put me on oxygen. I started pushing a little after 7pm. They made me stop pushing so the doctor could get there in time and she was born at 7:46 on Labor Day. I was so surprised she was a girl. Everyone seemed to think I was having a boy.
And in that instant I realized what true unconditional love was.
Thank you Little d for making me a mom.
